Privacy policy

Your information, kept simple.

I only collect what I need to arrange your demo and look after you. I don’t sell it, I don’t share it for advertising, and there is no tracking on this site.

Who I am

itsachef.com is run by Prinal, trading as IT’S A CHEF!, an Independent Thermomix® Consultant based in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” mean IT’S A CHEF!. This site is not run by Vorwerk, the maker of Thermomix®. This site is meant for people in the United States.

What I collect

What you tell me

  • Demo requests: your name, email, phone number, ZIP code, the days and times that suit you, how many people, how you would like me to reach you, and any notes you add.
  • Referrals: your name and email, and your friend’s name, email or phone number, and why they would love it. Only send a friend’s details if they have agreed to be contacted.
  • Emails and messages you send me.
  • Live chat: if you open the chat, the messages you type and anything you choose to share in them (such as your name or email). The chat only loads when you open it.

What is collected automatically

  • Server logs: like every website, my web host records basic technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These are used to keep the site running and secure.
  • Spam protection: when you send a form, a scrambled (one way coded) version of your IP address is kept for about an hour to limit repeated submissions.

I do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and I do not build profiles of visitors.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies for visitors. If you play a video, it is shown by YouTube in its privacy enhanced mode, and YouTube may set its own cookies once you press play. See Google’s privacy policy.

Do Not Track: because I do not track visitors across websites, the site works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. No third party is allowed to collect information about your activity on this site over time or across other websites, other than YouTube when you play a video and my chat provider when you open the chat.

How I use your information

  • To contact you about your demo or question, by the method you choose (call, text or email).
  • To help you order, set up and use your Thermomix.
  • To contact a friend you referred, and to pay your referral reward.
  • To keep records of requests, and to protect the site from spam and misuse.

No mailing lists. I only text or call you about the request you made, and you can tell me to stop at any time.

Who I share it with

I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it for advertising. I only share it with:

  • My live chat provider (Deskwoot), if you use the chat. An AI assistant answers first and is labeled as an assistant; it passes anything it cannot answer to me. Your chat messages are processed by the chat provider and its AI provider only to answer you.
  • Service providers that run the site and my email, such as my web and email host (Hostinger). They store it on my behalf and may not use it for anything else.
  • Vorwerk (Thermomix®) when you place an order. The Buy now button takes you to my official Thermomix order page. What you enter there, including payment details, goes to Vorwerk and its payment and finance partners (such as Bread Pay™), under their own privacy policies. I never see your card details.
  • When the law requires it, for example to respond to a valid legal request or to protect people from harm.

How long I keep it

I keep your details for as long as I need them to arrange your demo, look after you as a customer and keep proper records, then delete them. You can ask me to delete them sooner at any time.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live in the USA, you can ask me to:

  • tell you what information I hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct it if it is wrong;
  • delete it;
  • stop contacting you.

Email hello@itsachef.com from the address you used, or tell me how you contacted me, so I can confirm it is you. I will reply within 30 days. There is no charge, and you will not be treated differently for asking.

Nevada residents: I do not sell covered information as defined by Nevada law. You can still send me a request to opt out of any future sale and I will honor it.

California and other state residents: some states give you specific privacy rights. I do not sell or share your personal information as those laws define it, and I honor the requests above for everyone.

Children

This site is for adults. It is not meant for children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent me their details, email me and I will delete them.

Keeping it safe

The site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, form details are kept outside the public part of the website, and access to my email and records is password protected. No website or email system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I will update it on this page and change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, I will make it clear on the site.
